Tattoos may be downfall for jewelry shop burglar - Lincoln Journal Star
Police are looking for a man who calls himself Corrupt Dome on Facebook in the August burglary of Michael Tish Jewelers.
At 3:30 a.m. on Aug. 8, a man with tattoos on his arms threw a rock though a window at the business to get inside, then proceeded to break out several jewelry cases, taking 27 pieces of jewelry worth a total of $1,374.17.
Lincoln police released surveillance photos from the break-in and investigators received information that someone matching the description sold jewelry with his wife at an Omaha pawn shop the next day, documents say.
Police found the man -- later identified as Charles Dome -- on Facebook using the name Corrupt Dome. The warrant says Corrupt Dome listed his employment as a tattoo shop named Corrupt Tattoo in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The Facebook profile was eventually traced back to Charles Dome.
Pictures of Dome's tattoos taken during an arrest in North Carolina were compared to the video surveillance taken at Michael Tish Jewelers and an arrest warrant charging him with burglary was issued in September. He is not yet in custody.
