Within two days, a jewelry store and a convenience store were robbed in Hemet and police there are calling for the public's help in finding the suspects.

The first robbery happened Oct. 14 just before 4 p.m. at the Gold Crown Exchange at 326 S. Sanderson Ave., according to a news release from Hemet police.

Two men entered the business and robbed an employee and a customer at gunpoint. The men left with jewelry, cash and personal items, police say. The department released a surveillance video of the incident.

The jewelry store is offering $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the men who robbed their store.

Then about 10:20 a.m. the following day, Hemet police responded to a Check N Go at 3671 W. Florida Ave. and learned that three men entered the business and robbed an employee at gunpoint. The suspects made off with cash and personal property.

Investigators believe the same suspects were involved in both robberies. A surveillance camera captured photos of the suspects at the Check N Go.

Anyone with information about the robberies may call Investigator Jessica Tuttle at 951-765-2422.
