Jackson Heights jewelry store hostage situation over; police search ... - New York's PIX11 / WPIX-TV
JACKSON HEIGHTS, Queens — Police are searching for multiple suspects who instigated a hostage situation inside of a Queens jewelry store Tuesday evening.
Police sources say the alleged robbery happened at Kunal Jewelry located at 37-04 74th St., in Jackson Heights around 7:30 p.m.
When the suspects entered the store, an employee ran into the back and hit an alarm.
Sources say the suspects allegedly ransacked the store but got spooked and ran away. Nothing was removed from the store.
By the time police arrived on the scene, the suspects were long gone.
Police sources say there are four male suspects.
