Woman sought in theft at Rice Village jewelry store - KPRC Houston

HOUSTON - A jewelry store in the Rice Village neighborhood said a woman took several expensive items from behind the counter.

Houston police said on Aug. 31, a woman went into the store on the 2400 block of Times Boulevard. She then picked several expensive pieces of jewelry and had the store employees hold them behind the counter.

Police said surveillance images showed the woman walk behind the counter without the employees knowing and putting the jewelry items in her purse. She then left the store.

Police said the woman was wearing a white dress shirt, blue pants and brown cowboy boots at the time of the incident.

Crime Stoppers will pay a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest. Those with information to offer can call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
