Bailey's Fine Jewelry adds Smith to Greenville staff - Greenville Daily Reflector
Gerret Smith, a certified jeweler with more than 15 years of experience in the jewelry industry, has joined the staff at the Greenville location of Bailey’s Fine Jewelry.
Smith’s responsibilities include standard repairs and sizing, as well as the creation of custom pieces of jewelry for patrons.
“We’ve been looking to expand our workshop in the Greenville store for a while now but wanted to be sure we found just the right person,” Trey Bailey of Bailey’s Fine Jewelry said. “Gerret is the perfect fit — an incredibly skilled jeweler and a kind and fun person. We’re thrilled to have him on board.”
Smith began his work in the jewelry industry as at the age of 18. He is a graduate of the Gemological Institute of America and has worked as a certified jeweler for the past 12 years.
Smith worked on his own as a contractor as well as with jewelry companies, including Asurion, one of the world’s largest insurers of jewelry, where he supervised 25 other jewelers.
“Gerret has been the best addition to our team here in Greenville,” Crystal Corbett, manager of Bailey’s Greenville location, said. “Not only is he super talented, but he has such a servant’s heart — something that’s so important to us as a company.”
Founded in 1948, Bailey’s Fine Jewelry is a family-owned and operated company with stores in Raleigh, Rocky Mount and Greenville. The Greenville store is at 511 Red Banks Road.
