Two years after her husband passed away, Darlene Coleman of Henrico County asked jeweler Susan McLauchlan to design a new ring that included the diamonds from her wedding band.
“I wanted to use the diamonds but I didn’t want it to look like a wedding band,” Coleman said of the ring. “For the past 35 years, every piece of jewelry I own has come from Susan’s shop. If you want something special, you can go to her and describe what you want and she can custom make it for you or she will go through catalogs to find it for you. Either way you will get what you want.”
