Cameras roll as man tries on necklace at jewelry store and bolts - Miami Herald

A man walked into a Tamarac jewelry store, tried on a necklace, checked himself out in the mirror and then bolted — but not before knocking over another man in the process.

The entire heist was caught on store surveillance cameras.

On Tuesday, BSO released the video of the man, who tried on at least one other necklace before taking off.

According to BSO, the man, who was wearing a blue hat and carrying a backpack, chose a 10K, 24-inch chain with an anchor design.

The video showed the man smiling into the mirror, checking for a path and then running. A man, who appeared to be an employee tried to stop him, but the man threw him aside and continued out the store.

Anyone with information is asked to call BSO Robbery Unit Det. Mark Copley at 954-321-4738 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS (8477).
