Deputies search for Sarasota jewelry thief - Bradenton Herald
The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in apprehending a man who stole jewelry from a store at The Mall at University Town Center on Thursday morning.
Deputies responded to the shopping center’s Kay Jewelers around 11 a.m. after the unidentified man snatched three diamond rings from an employee and fled the store.
The suspect is described as a black or Hispanic male with facial hair and wearing a blue and white plaid shirt. According to the sheriff’s office, he drove away in a small gray, four-door car.
