Provident Jewelry’s Dream Factory in Wellington had its grand opening Thursday night after construction started last summer. Invitees were treated to hors d’oeuvres, music and a live painting performance — not to mention a look at the jewelry itself.

Provident opened more than a year ago on the other side of the plaza, but the new space is larger and features a signature clock tower.
A silent auction benefited the Sport Horse Research Foundation. Having that community element is important to Provident, said Geoff Fear, managing partner of Provident’s Wellington store and a 15-year resident of the village. “We’re about the community and the experience,” he said. “Our customers are really our friends and family.”

A modern chandelier hangs over the main showroom inside Provident, with a separate dark-paneled watch showroom and bar to the side. While some pieces will be within the everyday person’s reach, others are tailored to a more luxury market with prices stretching above $1 million.
Take the $955,000 pair of diamond-and-emerald Chopard earrings. With eight large emeralds, more than three dozen massive diamonds and a titanium setting, these stunners are kept under lock and key.
Provident Jewelry at 11924 Forest Hill Blvd. #30 in Wellington is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and closed Sunday.
