A second Creve Coeur jewelry store is hit by thieves | Law and order ... - STLtoday.com
CREVE COEUR • A day after four masked men fired shots in a jewelry heist, burglars hit another jewelry store in Creve Coeur — but in a much quieter way.
A burglar alarm sounded at 4 a.m. Tuesday at Genovese Jewelers, 12460 Olive Boulevard. Police found a broken window but no one inside the store.
The thieves had taken merchandise, but police say they don't know how much and they didn't detail what was missing.
Vincent's was robbed at about 3 p.m. Monday. No employees or customers were hurt, but one of the robbers was apparently cut by glass from a broken jewelry case, police said.
Capt. Jon Romas said the four robbers fled in a dark pickup. A police statement described the truck as a four-door Dodge Ram, 2002 or newer, with silver lower panels, an open truck bed and custom wheels. At the time of the robbery, the truck was carrying two dog crates in its bed. Police did not release descriptions of the robbers.
