First came the clear plastic bags at Céline and Helmut Lang; then there were the see-through boots stomping down the runway at Chanel: "Total transparency" is the apparent theme for spring 2018's flashiest accessories, it seems—and your jewelry is next in line for a refresh.
Among the translucent, Lucite line-up this season are hoop earrings, thick bangles, and bulky rings—an offering that feels playful without veering into costume territory (not completely, at least). The season's best jewelry leans into the see-through material but renders it in minimal shapes, sometimes throwing in soft colors like pale pink and yellow for an extra pop. And unlike those see-through bags that show the world your workweek essentials (and a loose hair tie…or 20), these accessories are totally clear without oversharing.
