New Private Luxury Jewelry Show To Be Held In Geneva - Forbes
When it comes to luxury goods, Geneva is known for watches and for nearly 30 years January is when the global watch trade fair, Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH), is held (although that will change next year). However, this month will also mark the beginning of a new private jewelry fair in the Swiss city.

Haute Jewels Geneva will be held January 13 – 17 at the Grand Hotel Kempinski Geneva. The show brings together a group of four internationally known luxury jewelry brands with different product mixes. They are: Yoko London, Crivelli, Roberto Coin and Sutra. The show was founded by Michael Hakimian, founder and CEO of Yoko London.
Hakimian says the four brands have collectively exhibited at more than 1,000 major jewelry shows and this combined wealth of experience will result in a proper environment for jewelry buyers and suppliers. It also allows retailers from around the world that are already in Geneva for the watch show to have an opportunity to view luxury jewels. In addition, since the city is hub for wealthy individuals, it gives these people a private shopping experience.

“Haute Jewels Geneva offers us an additional opportunity to present our collections to customers who are in Geneva at the time, in a more intimate, relaxed and luxurious environment,” Hakimian said. “We want to bring the four brands closer to major luxury retailers and Ultra-High Net-Worth individuals.”
In an unusual move, the show will be open from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. every day. “The timing was purposely selected to encourage a more social shopping experience, mixing business with leisure,” Hakimian said.

Among the four brands the most recognizable is Roberto Coin. Based in Vicenza. The brand has come to symbolize the design, craftsmanship and manufacturing mastery for gold jewelry that the region is known for. Yoko London specializes in pearl jewelry that ranges from high jewelry creations with large and rare pearls to contemporary everyday pearl jewels.
Sutra is based in the U.S. but the style is clearly from India, where large elaborate colorful gems are mixed with precious metals in a flurry of big, bold designs. Crivelli is an Italian brand from the Valenza region, another area known for exceptional Italian gold jewelry, specializing in fashion-forward, contemporary luxury jewels.
