Thousands in cash, jewelry reported taken in separate burglaries - Buffalo News
A Dorris Avenue woman reported $10,000 was stolen from a safe that was hidden in her room, Buffalo police said.
Police said someone forced open the safe and took the cash sometime on Thursday or Friday.
Meanwhile, an Auburn Avenue woman claimed over $5,000 worth of jewelry was stolen from her home.
That woman told Buffalo police the theft happened sometime between July 29 and Thursday, when she was away. She reported that two pearl necklaces, two pairs of earrings, one amethyst ring and one gold order of engineer ring were taken.
