KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) -- Kalamazoo County Sheriff deputies say a jewelry store robbery in Oshtemo ended after the suspects were caught across the state.

The 3 robbers walked into the Kay Jewelers on West Main around 8 p.m. Saturday, smashed display cases, grabbed the jewelry, and took off in a vehicle and a lookout vehicle both heading eastbound on I-94.

Multiple law enforcement agencies were notified and a police helicopter was launched to search for the vehicles, with one located in Jackson County early Sunday morning.

They say the other was stopped after it crashed near Detroit after a short police pursuit.

Two suspects are in custody but the information on the third was not released because the suspect is a juvenile.
