Net-a-Porter Partners with Cult-Favorite Jewelry Designers for New Launch - Yahoo News
Shopping for jewelry tends to be an all or nothing proposition— you either buy superhigh or superlow, with typically not much in between. But not everyone can afford top-of-the-line luxury baubles (think Cartier or De Beers). And who wants to wear cheap jewelry that turns your finger green?
Enter the new “demi-fine” jewelry category by Net-a-Porter. Lisa Aiken, its retail fashion director, says, “What makes this project so special is that it unites elements of both fashion and fine jewelry, which have historically been very separate categories.”
The shopping site has enlisted five new designers to kick off the new demi-fine group. Starting Wednesday, shoppers will be able to purchase jewelry from cult-favorite indie designers like Catbird NYC, Sarah & Sebastian, Wwake, Saskia Diez, and i+i. The jewelry is priced between $30 and $2,030.
So for everyone who’s been seeking that perfect “in-between” jewelry – bridging the gap between quality, price, and design – the demi-fine group is tailor-made for your wallet and your jewelry box.
