Layering in the winter conjures up thoughts of swaddling oneself in sweaters upon sweaters upon thermal knits, topped off by voluminous outerwear. But, as Copenhagen’s most fashionable native, Pernille Teisbaek, reminds us, there’s a top layer you might be forgetting. Yes, the creative director and newfound jewelry designer has turned to her own precious accessory designs as the chicest way to layer this season.
In collaboration with jewelry designer Orit Elhanati, Teisbaek’s line, Afin Atelier, boasts a bevy of precious and sculptural pieces that are bound to add a welcome dose of shine to any ho-hum wintertime ensemble. From wrapping a precious gilded ankle chain around one’s fuzzy socks, to bringing back the old-school glamour of ear sticks, to letting gold-hammered danglers dress up a bad girl ensemble of a PVC mini, band tee, and mesh tights, the line is a welcome way to stylishly sludge through the colder months.
