Steve Hydock Jewelers, a jewelry store at 150 S. Wyoming Ave. in Kingston that has been in business since 1978, will close after the holidays but a final date has not yet been determined.
Owners Steve Hydock and his wife, Barbara, announced their retirement in a press release Monday.
Barbara Hydock said in the release that they were committed to making every customer “feel at home with personalized service and classic to cutting edge jewelry designs.”
“It’s been a wonderful run and the community has been great to us,” Steve Hydock said in the statement. “We’ve made more friends than we can count and we’re truly going to miss the store, but after 38 years, we feel it’s time to kick back and enjoy a more normal life.”
A “going out of business” sale will begin this week, offering Hydock’s entire inventory of diamond engagement rings, colored stones, sterling sliver jewelry and bracelets at up to 70 percent off.
