Pitt deputies: Man arrested for stealing $8000 in jewelry - WITN
PITT COUNTY, NC (WITN) A man was arrested after Pitt County Deputies say he stole $8,000 worth of jewelry from a home on Halloween and then sold it to second hand stores.
Deputies say 28-year-old William Cahoon Junior faces several charges, including breaking and entering, and obtaining property by false pretense.
The Pitt County Sheriff's Office says a victim reported the jewelry was stolen on Halloween from a home on Wesley Lane in Greenville.
Deputies say Cahoon was seen on surveillance footage selling items to Trade-It and "Gold and Silver Trader" in Greenville.
Cahoon was arrested on Tuesday and jailed under a $75,000 bond. Deputies say several pieces of the stolen jewelry were recovered.
