Thieves steal $17000 of jewelry from two JCPenney stores in Albuquerque - KRQE News 13
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Police are looking for the thieves responsible for stealing more than $17,000 worth of jewelry from two different JCPenney’s in Albuquerque in the past two weeks.
A week-and-a-half ago, two men stole a diamond ring worth $5,500 from a JCPenney on the west side.
They struck again on Sunday, this time at the JCPenney at the Coronado Center. As you can see in this video, three men are checking out the jewelry displays. According to police, one of the men returned an hour later and stole three sets of earrings.
“Convinces the clerk behind the desk to give him the jewelry. We believe its three sets of diamond earrings valued at $12,000. You can see him grab those and he immediately rushes out of the store,” said Ofc. Simon Drobik, Albuquerque Police Dept.
Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying these suspects. If you have any information, call APD.
