A man representing himself as a power company employee and an accomplice stole more than $11,000 of jewelry from an elderly couple in Chester County, state police said.
The victims, a couple in their 80s, reported the theft on Sept. 28, two days after the suspects struck at a home on the 200 block of Friends Meetinghouse Road in Highland Township.
The victims told police they were approached by white man with brown hair and missing front teeth at around 3 p.m. Sept. 26.
