Line from European house Repossi available at Hamilton Jewelers - Palm Beach Daily News
Palm Beachers who watch the Golden Globes tonight will be able to head to Worth Avenue Monday to pick up some the jewelry they see on the red carpet.
House of Repossi — a European jewelry brand that is popular among celebrities and royals — has worked out an agreement to stock its jewelry at Hamilton Jewelers.
The company was started in Turin, Italy, in 1920.
Gaia Repossi has taken the jewelry to a new level, said Hank Siegel, chief operating officer of Hamilton Jewelers. She rose to the role of creative and artistic director of the house in 2007 when she was just 21.
“She really has made fine jewelry; very cool, very clean,” Siegel said. “I think it’s a breath of fresh air.”
Siegel likened Repossi rings and earrings to pieces of fine art that he thinks will fit well with the clientele in Palm Beach who like to stay at the cutting edge of fashion. The pieces at Hamilton are coming direct from the flagship store in Place Vendôme in Paris.
“We felt it was a great chance to bring something unique and special to this market,” Siegel said.
First attracted to the idea of a partnership because both businesses are family-owned for the past century, Siegel said he was won over when he saw the quality of the designs.
Likewise, House of Repossi saw it as a perfect fit.
“Repossi selected Palm Beach’s Worth Avenue due to the destination’s reputation for attracting a discriminating clientele who select items with a nod to enduring quality,” International Director of Repossi Mathieu Cheyrouze said in a news release. “Repossi began as a family enterprise so the importance of partnership with another family business led the brand to form a relationship with Hamilton Jewelers.”
The price range of the pieces from just about $300 to $400 to the “several hundred thousand dollar range,” Siegel said.
