John Wind Introduces Celebrating Women Jewelry Collection and Facebook Group - Gifts & Decorative Accessories

Celebrating Women John Wind CollectionThe Philadelphia-based fashion jewelry company John Wind has launched a new campaign and collection called Celebrating Women for Spring 2018.

For more than 30 years, Wind’s work as an accessory designer has focused on assisting women in looking and feeling their best. He is also a sculptor who for years has created assemblage portraits of the women in his life – celebrating their diverse strengths and passions.

“My entire career has been a celebration of women. But this moment in our culture inspired me to be more direct, and to design both a jewelry collection and a forum around it," Wind said. "I wanted to create a space for our community to share stories, and to bring together the amazing women in all of our lives.”

Words like "independent," "bold," "fearless" and "inspired" are engraved in Wind’s handwriting and anchor each design. The vibe is 1970s artisan, inspired by Dina Wind, John’s mother, who is also an artist. The pieces are made from 18 carat gold-plated bronze, with sterling silver, fresh water pearls, leather and Swarovski crystal accents.

Production is divided between Providence, Rhode Island, and the John Wind studio, newly relocated to historic South Philadelphia. Retail prices range from $50 to $300. The John Wind Celebrating Women Facebook Group is a forum to celebrate the special women in all of our lives and recognize other inspiring women from past and present.

The group and jewelry collection both launch in late April 2018 – timed to lead up to Mother’s Day. 5 percent of all sales will be donated to a trio of charities with initiatives committed to improving the lives of Women: The Hunger Project, The Alliance of Career Development Nonprofits and the Cancer Support Community’s Ovarian Cancer Registry.

The line will be available through the many independent retailers who carry the John Wind brand. Visit the Celebrating Women John Wind collection online for more information.
