Surveillance video: Car crashes into jewelry store - WCVB-TV - WCVB Boston
CHELMSFORD, Mass. —
A Toyota sedan barreled through the glass entryway of a Chelmsford jewelry store Thursday afternoon while customers were inside.
Police said they were called to Charles Fredericks Jewelers at 18 Alpine Lane around 2 p.m. They found the four-door car about half way into the building.
The 61-year-old driver of the car, a woman from Tyngsboro, was unhurt in the crash and surveillance video from inside the store shows no one was hit.
Police said the driver told officers she mistook the gas pedal for the brake while pulling into a parking spot, causing the car to lurch forward.

The car has since been towed away and police said the store owner will be securing the building.
The crash remains under investigation, police said.
