Suspects identified in theft of jewelry from Orangeburg Walmart - The Tand D.com

The Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office says it has identified two people suspected of stealing jewelry from Walmart.

“This pair were caught on security video entering the Orangeburg Walmart the day after Christmas, then taking jewelry from a case,” Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said in a release. “After a thorough investigation, these two have been identified as a pair from the Lowcountry.”

Warrants have been obtained for criminal conspiracy and shoplifting against 36-year-old Jennifer Schwartz Parker of Ladson, who also goes by the name Jennifer Schwartz, and Floyd Wesley Craven, 35, of Erhrardt.

Around 11:30 p.m. Dec. 26, a couple entered the North Road store on the grocery side of the business.

Surveillance video shows the couple in the jewelry. The male forced open a display and placed items into the woman’s opened purse, according to security personnel.

Employees estimated the loss to be in the thousands.

Agencies around the Lowcountry are investigating similar incidents.

Anyone with information on Parker or Craven is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 803-534-3550 or Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
