WANTED: Suspects in Colorado Springs jewelry robbery - KKTV 11 News

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Police posted pictures of three people to social media on Tuesday in hopes the public could help identify the trio of suspected jewelry thieves.

The robbery happened on Jan. 17 in Colorado Springs at the Benet Hill Monastery-sisters Thrift and Boutique near N. Union and Research Parkway.

One of the suspects is described as a Hispanic or Native American woman, about 40 to 50 years old with dark hair. Another suspect is believed to be a white woman with red hair who was wearing a blue baseball cap at the time of the crime. The third suspect is only described by authorities as a white man, late teens or early twenties with short hair.

The three were caught on surveillance entering the store as they showed interest in a piece of jewelry. Two suspects reportedly distracted the sales staff while the third reached into the display case and snatched a gold necklace worth about $5,000.
