In just 11 years, Holly Daniels-Christensen has taken a simple home hobby and turned it into a global business."It’s so important to me and still is," Daniels-Christensen said. Each one expresses a personal message through something as simple as a grain of sand."Usually it’s something really sentimental," Daniels-Christensen said. "It’s a wedding, it’s a first kiss, it’s a honeymoon. It’s somewhere they sprinkled a loved one’s ashes."As Dune’s popularity grew, Daniels-Christensen began getting requests for jewelry made with sand from all over the world. They now have over 4,000 different types of sand sent in from all seven continents.Dune Jewelry can now be found in over 800 stores worldwide, and Daniels-Christensen says she has no intentions of slowing down."I want to eventually be an experiential lifestyle brand," she said. "Everything that you need to travel and enjoy life and live in the moment and be mindful. I want you to be able to have that with Dune Jewelry."
