Thieves smash glass with hammers, steal $340K in jewelry at Florida Mall, deputies say - WFTV Orlando
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. - Deputies said four people were arrested after stealing $340,000 worth of jewelry during the smash-and-grab robbery inside the Florida Mall.
The robbers used hammers to smash a display case around 6 p.m. Thursday at the Mayors Jewelers inside the mall, deputies said.

According to an arrest report, the thieves used sledge hammers to smash a Rolex display case multiple times before it shattered and then grabbed multiple Rolex watches.

Deputies said they were able to locate the robbers by using surveillance video to track down the vehicle they left in.
The suspected robbers - Lorenzo Caldwell, Torren Johnson, Shameia Dorsey and juvenile Artavius Lavallais - were arrested later without incident, deputies said.
Deputies said the four people arrested are facing charges including grand theft and felony criminal mischief.
An investigation is ongoing, and deputies did not say if anyone was injured during the incident.
