Texas-based Kendra Scott jewelry to open Ann Arbor store - MLive.com

ANN ARBOR, MI -- A Texas-based jewelry company is opening a store at the Arbor Hills outdoor shopping center this fall.

Kendra Scott jewelry will take over the 1,875-square-foot space that formerly housed The North Face at 3050 Washtenaw Ave. in Ann Arbor, city records show. The unit sits between Anthropologie and Sur La Table.

The project will cost roughly $295,000 to renovate the inside of the existing space, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing work and more, city records show.

Further details from company representatives were not immediately available.

The chain’s current closest location to Ann Arbor is at Twelve Oaks Mall in Novi.

Kendra Scott offers a variety of colorful necklaces, earrings bracelets and more that are “intricately and artfully” crafted at an art studio in Austin, Texas, according to the company website. The company also has a line of wedding jewelry.

A monthly “Kendra Cares” program offers patients at pediatric hospitals and their caregivers an opportunity to design their own piece of customized jewelry at no cost, according to the website.
