Another Diamond District jewelry shop was robbed: cops - New York Post
A man swiped a diamond watch worth $43,000 from a Midtown jewelry store Thursday, police said.
The thief was browsing at the jewelry shop Flawless on W. 47th Street near 6th Avenue at about 1 p.m. when the heist occurred, officials said.
“A guy came in and asked to see a watches,” store owner Eddy Rubin told the Post. “He was looking at two Rolexes. Then he grabbed a $43,000 diamond Rolex watch and ran out.”
The brazen bandit ran off with the expensive timepiece without saying a word, Rubin said.
Police said they are investigating the incident as a grand larceny.
The theft comes on the heels of a $4 million jewelry heist at a neighboring Diamond District store.
