Masked suspects pull off smash-and-grab robbery at National City jewelry store - The San Diego Union-Tribune
At least four masked suspects, one armed with a gun, robbed employees at a jewelry store in National City on Tuesday night, police said.
The robbery took place at the Jared store at the Westfield Plaza Bonita shopping center, off Plaza Bonita Road west of Sweetwater Road, shortly before the store closed at 8 p.m., according to the National City Police Department.
The suspects smashed display cases and made off with an unknown amount of jewelry, police said.
No injuries to employees or customers were reported.
