By Jake.Allen@hollandsentinel.com616-546-4273Elsa Vogel, a Holland native, will celebrate her business moving into a new space in downtown holland on Tuesday.
Vogel has owned and operated Pieces of Me, a jewelry company, since she was a senior at Bowling Green State University.
Shortly after graduation and two years ago in August, Vogel’s business won 5x5 night in Grand Rapids.
Now Vogel will celebrate the move into the office space above Apothecary Gift Shop at 35 West 8th St. in downtown Holland.
The celebration event will include appetizers, drinks and display of the company's products from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Vogel said her business sells their products online, but she would like to use the event as an opportunity to gain support from West Michigan residents and the Holland community.
"The biggest thing is community awareness,” Vogel said. “We want this community and people locally in West Michigan to know we are here. We want to build the support here in Holland."
Pieces of Me will also launch a new product at the event on Tuesday – necklaces. Vogel said up to this point her company has only sold metal cuff bracelets that are gold or silver plated with icon designs.
"The whole brand is about wearing your personality, and it's about individuality,” Vogel said. “All of us have unique personalities and we like to think we are reimagining personalized jewelry because we are getting down to the actual core of who someone is, instead of just their hobbies or initials."
