Jewelry store robbery suspects sought - East Bay Times

ANTIOCH — Police are asking for the public’s help in finding suspects who robbed a jewelry store Monday.

Just after 11 a.m., police responded to a report of a robbery at Darren Lauryn Jewelers, 5887 Lone Tree Way.

Officers said two people had walked in and sprayed the store clerk with pepper spray.

The two then smashed several jewelry cases and took an undisclosed amount of jewelry before running into the parking lot, police said.

The clerk was not hurt and received treatment for pepper-spray exposure.

No word was immediately available on any connection between Monday’s robbery and another one on July 19 at a Somersville Towne Center jewelry store.

Anyone with information should call Antioch police at 925-778-2441, text a tip to 274637 (CRIMES) using the keyword ANTIOCH.
