Jewelry reported stolen from Barnsley found in owners' driveway - Daily Tribune News
A case involving more than $8,000 in stolen jewelry last week from a Barnsley Resort room has been closed, and the perp was one nobody suspected — the owners’ driveway.
According to the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office, the jewelry that was reported stolen from the resort room, including a wedding band, was found in the driveway of the owners’ home once they returned to Florida after a weekend at Barnsley.
It was never taken with them on their trip to Barnsley, and as a result, the burglary case has been closed and no crime was committed.
The original report made by the couple on Sunday stated that, while they were out at a wedding overnight Friday, a bag was stolen out of their room containing more than $8,000 in jewelry.
