Along with the bling, visitors can gather and have a drink at Tapper's Tap Room. The bar will rotate Michigan-made beers on tap, starting with Bellaire-based Short's Brewing Co.'s Space Rock Brew. The bar will also serve Williamsburg-based Northwoods Soda & Syrup Co. root beer, soft drinks and water, President Mark Tapper said.
The store will employ 19.
"Over our 40-year history, trends and styles have changed, but one thing has remained the same — our tradition of treating every visitor like family," Tapper said in a statement. "With this new location, we'll be able to provide a more personalized and engaging shopping experience than ever before."
The company declined to disclose revenue projections.
Southfield-based JGA Inc. handled the design and Detroit-based Sachse Construction and Development Co. LLC handled the build-out of the 5,600-square-foot space. Tapper's is located next to the state's only Rolex shop, which is also run by the jeweler, the release said.
The store will operate 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Saturdays and noon-6 p.m. Sunday.
