Police seek help finding jewelry store robbery suspect - Albany Times Union
ROTTERDAM — Town police said Saturday they are searching for a man who robbed Jewels at ViaPort on Friday afternoon.
At about 4 p.m., a man entered the store and when a clerk was not looking, he reached over the counter and stole four diamond rings from the counter. The suspect is described as black, about 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-9, who was wearing a yellow Patagonia jacket and matching yellow shoes.
Investigator Claude C. Sawyer said detectives have very good security video and photos from the incident but are also asking help from the public to identify the man. Anyone with information is asked to call them at 518-355-7397.
Jewels is offering a cash reward for information leading to an arrest.
