Would-be jewelry buyers robbed at gunpoint in Buffalo - Buffalo News

Two Buffalo men interested in buying a gold chain told police they were robbed at gunpoint on Wednesday by the seller after he tried to sell them a fake piece of jewelry, according to a Buffalo police report.

The two 19-year-old victims said they contacted the seller through a Facebook group Buffalo Barter Kings. They told police late Wednesday afternoon they met with a man on the 300 block of Roslyn Street, according to the police report.

After they noticed the chain wasn't real gold, the man pulled out the gun and took $1,100 in cash from the pair and fled the area, according to the report.
