Vendors robbed after Alpharetta jewelry expo, police say - Atlanta Journal Constitution
Police are searching for a group of men they say targeted and robbed vendors after a busy jewelry expo in Alpharetta on Saturday night.
Authorities believe the four masked men knew about the show and waited for their victims, holding them up in the parking lot of the Hilton Garden Inn after it ended, Channel 2 Action News reported.
“One of the victims was held at gunpoint, the other victim was held at knifepoint,” Alpharetta police spokesman Sgt. Howard Miller said. “They probably had an idea that there was a jewelry show going on. I imagine they probably stalked the parking lot waiting for vendors to leave.”

The men made off with about $10,000 in jewelry and other personal items, police said.
Investigators said there were no cameras pointed at the area of the parking lot where the jewelers were robbed, but are hopeful witness accounts will help them track down the suspects.
