Man caught on camera moments before stealing jewelry belonging to woman's dead parents - KOCO Oklahoma City
A woman lost several items when a man broke into her Oklahoma City home, but all she wants back are possessions that used to belong to her parents."I thought, 'Oh my god. I left the back door open,'" Gail Marlatt said.But Marlatt didn't forget."I opened the door, the TV was gone. Stuff was messed up in the den. So, I knew something happened," she said.Her home security camera caught the moments when the man came to her door, knocked a few times and waited."Then he backs his truck to the side of the house," Marlatt said.The man broke into Marlatt's home through a side door. In the span of 10 minutes, the man stole electronics, pills and tools. He also raided her liquor cabinet."They got eight bottles of wine. All the good liquor was taken," Marlatt said.All the stolen items don't mean much to Marlatt. What she wants back is her deceased parents' jewelry."When my grandson was born, I wore them because it's like I can take a piece of them with me," Marlatt said.The missing jewelry is her mother's Mexican fire opal ring and her father's gold watch with a guitar on it."I would like to get those back. The other stuff is just stuff," Marlatt said.The man also went across the street and stole a trailer containing firefighter equipment belonging to a Tinker fireman, according to officials.

"Then he backs his truck to the side of the house," Marlatt said.

"They got eight bottles of wine. All the good liquor was taken," Marlatt said.
All the stolen items don't mean much to Marlatt. What she wants back is her deceased parents' jewelry.
"When my grandson was born, I wore them because it's like I can take a piece of them with me," Marlatt said.
