Colonie police say two men broke in to a home on Old Niskayuna Road earlier this month and made off with over $15,000 in jewelry.
Police were called to the home on Jan. 10 for a reported burglary. Police said the resident had been out all day and returned home at about 3 p.m. to find two rear doors broken. The resident reported to police that there was about $15,000 in jewelry missing.
Police identified a suspect vehicle and State Police arrested Paul J. Harris, 60, of Colonie, in Albany. The second suspect, John F. Pietrzak, 26, of Schenectady was arrested on Sunday. Police are still searching for the missing jewelry.
Both men were charged with burglary, grand larceny and misdemeanor criminal mischief.
They were sent to Albany County jail pending a future court date.
